STORIES IN THE SKY DRONE SHOW

This year, Colorado proudly celebrates two historic milestones. Our nation marks the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, while Colorado commemorates its 150th year as a state. As the Centennial State, Colorado holds a unique distinction — we are the only state in the nation observing both anniversaries at once.

In honor of this once-in-a-generation moment, this year's parade theme is "STARS OVER THE ROCKIES".

And that's not all — we're thrilled to introduce an all-new drone show as part of this year's Blossom Festival, making 2025 a celebration to remember.

CONCERT BAND & ORCHESTRA COMPETITIONS

Held at the LOU DEL PIZZO Performing arts center

The Blossom Festival is proud to host the largest community-run school music competition in the state — and the talent on stage proves it every year.

Concert Band & Orchestra competitions take center stage at the Lou Del Pizzo Performing Arts Center, where some of Colorado's most gifted young musicians compete for the chance to be heard. The excitement doesn't stop there.

Jazz Band showcases fill the Florence High School Performing Arts Center with energy and improvisation, while Concert Choirs bring breathtaking vocal performances to the stunning Steeples Event Center.

Three incredible venues. One unforgettable festival. Come experience the next generation of Colorado's finest musicians.

BLOSSOM HISTORY

"The first recorded mention of a festival in Canon City occurred in the 1860's in the Canon City Times. By the 1880's, residents were celebrating Fruit Day as both an acknowledgment of their remarkable harvests and a way to acquaint neighboring communities with their bountiful products."
